Gassing
A gassing chamber.
There where many methods used by the Nazi's to sytematically kill the jewish people. Gassing was one of those methods. What would happen was they would tell the prisoners that they where just going in for "showers" the Nazi's would even make the prisoners hang up their jumpers on numbers hooks to give them the thought that they where actually going to shower. The Nazi's would then load jews into long hall by the hundres and then release carbon monoxide gas into the chamber. The gas was released by diesel engines. People would be so packed into the camber that they even has to raise their arms.
Extened exposure to carbon monoxide can be dealy. Carbon monoxibe inhibits the bodies ablity to carry oxygen to vital organs like the heart, lungs, and the brain. So when the prisoners would breath in this gas it would feel like they were being choked to death. The prisoners where forced to suffer from anywhere from five minutes to ten minutes.

Zyklon B
Zyklon B was a pill that when put into a room at just the right temprature would release a toxic gas. Zyklon B was devoloped at Auschwitz. The pill was devloped at the camp itself by the scientist there they noticed that there was a certian chemcial in the pesticide that they used to keep lice away had similar properties to the carbon monoxide gas. Of course experiments were performed the see if the pill actually worked. "In the fall of 1941, the basement of cell block 11—the Auschwitz building where some of the most despicable punishments were meted out—was sealed and locked down." said August Kowalczyk. Inside that chamber Nazi scientist discovered that if the pill was dropped into a room at just the right temprature that it would release a toxic gas killing anyone is the room.
